In winter, Tyrol belongs to skiers – this is the impression you could easily get if you look at the numerous ski areas. But only one has a white cover 365 days a year: Welcome to the Skiwelt Zillertal 3000, Austria’s only whole-year ski region. From October to May there is even enough powder snow. 202 km of fresh powder slopes of every difficulty, untouched deep snow runs and challenging mogul slopes let the heart of every winter sportsman beat faster. From the beginner to the leisurely skier to the slope expert and free rider, every type finds a suitable offer. The highlight: A nonstop slope from the Hohe Wand (3,250 m) to Hintertux (1,500 m) which seems almost endless with its 12 kilometres.
Freestyle in the ski region
Fun off the slopes? Nothing easier than that in the Skiwelt Zillertal 3000 in Tyrol. The Betterpark Hintertux is said to be one of the best snow parks in the Austrian Alps. The entrance to the park is located on 3,200 m above sea level at the foot of the mighty Olperer mountain and is a popular meeting point of the local and international scene.
The fun slope Hintertux is the place to go on the Sommerbergalm. A gigantic lying “8” made of snow and numerous waves with exciting elements wait to be tried out again and again. Funny figures and colourful arches will wait for the kids – one is on the Rastkogel and one in Hintertux. In the flat terrain, the little ones can get comfortable with the feeling of standing on the skis in a relaxed manner.
If you seek a very quiet location and yet want to be on the slopes in no time, then the Aussicht holiday hotel is your ideal accommodation. The exposed location of the ski hotel in the middle of nature lets you relax wonderfully, while the ski bus takes you to the valley station of the Finkenberger Almbahnen in a few minutes.
